Gone Like a Squirrel on Crack
It’s Friday already.
September break is gone.
That’s wonderful isn’t it. A whole week, just gone.
I won’t lie to you and say I didn’t spend this week studying. Prelims MAN! That’s some hard-core shit right there. So I did study. But I didn’t study the way I want to. I’m compelled to finish what I need to finish. I can’t study as hard as I need to when I’m on a deadline. So basically I have most of the work I need to do done, but my revision was sorely lacking in quality. For example, I burned through a life-time’s worth of China history in a couple of days. I’m just refreshing. not improving. This is bad.Fortunately, it’s only the prelims.
Only the prelims. A year ago, I wouldn’t have been thinking like that. See how we grow! Sunken to new lows!
The thing I learn every year is that the big thing that year doesnt really matter in the grand scheme of things. You just need to beat all the little bosses to get to the big one. PSLE, O-levels (snigger), IB and even Uni. All just minor things. They’re just the minor bosses we have to fight through to get to the major one. Which theoretically is Death.
Cough.
That doesnt make me feel happy so I’ll forget that I thought of it.
In the end, when we realize and accept that we don’t really have any control over anything whatsoever in life, I think we would be a lot more happy and carefree. So basically, I trust God to do my worrying for me. I only wish I could remember that more often.
Moving Right Along
My cunning ruse has failed. The Internets are denied to me yet again!
We’ve recently had an ‘Interview Skills’ talk. I am thankful that 4 years in AC pre-IB/ IB has taught me the necessary presentation skills to breeze through anything an interviewer can throw at me. Muahaha.
*plot twist*
I’m eagerly awaiting the library release of Scott Mccloud’s Making Comics.
In other news, the production is going well (it usually is), and tickets are out. So buy tickets now. And buy them from me. Because I’m such an exceedingly charismatic salesman.
Inactivity
I can feel myself getting back into the old swing of things – promising to do everything on the weekend and then slowly forgetting to do anything. Spent today watching disturbing flash cartoons. Thank You David Firth!
