IOC

Don’t think I’ve been studying – IOC and freeware games have been taking up most of my free time. But now IOC is over, so I feel that I need to say something witty about the experience, and moan a bit about prelims.

I got an extract from Maya, which was acceptably easy to do. I spent 5 minutes annotating and 15 minutes planning out what I was going to say. Of course, I forgot the plan around the eighth minute or so. Still, no worries. I doubt I’m going to be getting full marks for this, but I’m pretty sure I did fine. Saved by cross-referencing, I think.

I would have been happier with something else, and I do feel pretty stupid, seeing as if I wasted a lot of time studying Lear and only 1 week on Maya. Oh well, at least its not Soyinka.

I’ve also kinda given up on any real revision for prelims being done. Having major exams every other month isn’t fun, especially with IA submissions squeezed in between. Fortunately, this should prepare us for life. Or perhaps we’re working now to make sure we can enjoy our golden years. I can’t help but feel that I’m supposed to be looking forward to being an old man, since my current purpose in life seems to be to make future-me free to slack off. Goddammit I hate future-me. And past-me. Oh, how I loathe past-me. One day I hope to travel back in time to give myself cryptic hints about the future. Nothing informative though – keep in mind I’m doing it out of spite for myself.
